Yesterday was Batik Day. UNESCO was announce its recognition of batik as a unique hallmark of Indonesian heritage at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This recognition was declared Oct 2nd 2009. Since that day, every Oct 2nd we celebrate as Batik Day.
Batik isn't only for fabric. Still to celebrate Batik Day. This time I bring a focal lampwork bead, special produce for Batik Day every 2nd Oct. This lampwork bead made by Jombang creative people.
