Etsy's Favorite Design of The Month

As I open my ministore at Etsy and Artfire, so automatically I'll frequently visiting both online store. And spend my leasure time browsing amazing creativity by artisants at both online store. I always amaze with them, so many creativity everyday. I'll pick one design for each online store, which catch my eyes and managed to make me chuckle admiringly, and put it here as my Fav Design of The Month *congrat*

Etsy goes first...and I found...                          SpĆ³ra
She using seeds found in the Amazon forest for her jewellery design combain with semi-precious stones, sterling silver, and brass. I'm so curious, seed is something that easily rot, how she managed the seed become something durable and lasting *frown* There must be special technique to create a simple but elegant jewellery with base materials from seeds.

Take a look to her beautiful collections...

Christmas Tree Decoration

The Christmas tree is a decorated evergreen coniferous tree, real or artificial, and a tradition associated with the celebration of Christmas. The Christmas tree is often brought into a home, but can also be used in the open, and can be decorated with Christmas lights (originally candles), ornaments, garlands and tinsel during the days around Christmas. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity. The tradition of decorating an evergreen tree at Christmas started in Livonia and Germany in the 16th century.
These Java Beads motive just like christmas tree decoration right. Swirly of colourfull ribbon. Handmade by creative people of Gudo Jombang - East Java. Average diametre is 10 mm for each beads. Technique used is quite complicated. So it's no wonder if the price for these beads rather expensive.

Christmas Colours

...Yeah...it's december already. Christmas time is coming *smile* not much for preparing the day. Yesterday I went to largest mall in the city. They prepare giant christmas tree with snow ball. oohhhh....I love the atmosphere during christmas. In bahasa Indonesia christmas is natal. My craftman worked pretty hard to prepare some beads which represent christmas colours. Hope you like them...

Red X-mas
...average diameter is 20 mm...
...resin bead...

This red represent Santa cloth and hat. Why is red? The answer may surprise you. Father Christmas, Santa or Saint Nicholas as he was known in Europe wore a long BLUE robe. The red suit first appeared in an advertisement for the Coca Cola Co. in around 1905, I think. It became hugely popular and stuck. Santa has worn the red suit ever since.
But there's another theory...
Santa's sleigh has two runners, two tons of toys and eight reindeer
Two plus two plus eight makes twelve.
There are twelve inches in a foot.
Rulers are a foot long.
Queen Elizabeth II is a ruler and is also the name of the largest ship that sails the seven seas.
Seas have fish and fish have fins.
The Finns fought the Russians and the Russians are red.
Santa is always Russian (rushin') and that is why he is dressed in red!

Blue X-mas
...average diameter is 20 mm...
...resin bead

This blue represent the atmosphere when christmas come. Christmas is in december where snow fall so badly.   So cold and made us feel so blue. That's why Santa come in christmas night. To cheers-up all of us =)

Fresh Aqua
...size is 10 x 10 mm with hole 5 mm...
...recycled glass bead...

This fresh aqua represent the holy water. Holy water is water which has been sanctified by a priest. Every christmas we always go to church and we want some holy water for blessing ourself from evil repelling.

Light Green X-mas Lentil
...size is 28 x 21mm...
...resin bead...

This green is represent the famous christmas tree =) The Christmas tree is a decorated evergreen coniferous tree, real or artificial, and a tradition associated with the celebration of Christmas. The Christmas tree is often brought into a home, but can also be used in the open, and can be decorated with Christmas lights (originally candles),ornamentsgarlands and tinsel during the days around Christmas. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity. The tradition of decorating an evergreen tree at Christmas started in Livonia and Germany in the 16th century.

Natural Polish Lava Stone
...size is 12 x 12 mm...
...gemstone bead...

This white is represent the happy couple Mr. and Mrs. Snowhappy. What was originally a figure carved out of compact snow, is now all over the place with infinite patterns, templates and designs being made out of it. And what's more, he's not alone: there's Mrs. Snow as well joining him for the festivities! A Snowman pattern includes everything from an art and craft sculpture to embroidery. The Midnight Snowman is a pair of figurines -male and female - erect against the background of the dark night sky, the Polar light, Aurora. The couple is seen standing in the snow, rather forlorn, for it is night, and late night for that matter. They are seen wearing a tall black hat with a sharp pointed nose silhouetted against the shimmering stars. They are wearing a flowing white robe with sinuous purple stars on them, denoting very much the symbol of festivity. You can also go in for a woodwork pattern featuring pumpkin patch designs on the Snow pair of spouses. Basecoat includes buttermilk for snowman, white and country red for candy cane, French grey blue for tassel and brim section of hat, arbor green for scarf and center section of hat, canyon orange for carrot nose. The shading and highlighting need to be done in uniform blue, warm white, mink tan with a light float and the like.

Black Palm
...size is 7 x 8 mm...
...wood bead...

This black is represent The Black Peter. The idea is to give each other presents and to write poems filled with irony and humour, offering you the chance to poke fun at each other. Children are taught to believe that they receive their presents from Saint Nicholas who is accompanied by a black servant called 'Black Peter'. The combination of the small Black Peter and horse-riding Saint Nicholas, represents the triumph of good over bad, Christian over heathen. Peter is a young, black, simple, cheeky (classically followed by a reprimand from the Saint), boy. A very popular explanation about his color is that the blackness stems from the figure's passage down the chimney. In the story Black Peter comes down the chimney to deliver presents and according to this explanation he's black because of the soot. Other explanations use the figure's origin to de-radicalise him.

Blueberry Fantasy
...size is 16 x 20 mm
...thread bead...

Blueberry Fantasy is represent the flickering glare of christmas light and decoration. Christmas lights are a special part of Christmas Decorations . Light adorned trees and candles illuminate the festival giving it a special aura. Christmas Decoration is a fun filled activity, which is looked forward with great enthusiasm by one and all . Preparations start months in advance for the occasion and every nook and corner of the market is searched high and low to get the best Christmas decoration items to make the celebrations truly special. Many also prefer to handcraft the decorations and gift them to their family and friends.

Happy Christmas Holiday

Recycled Glass Bead

Beside I support Indonesian product, I support the eco system by selling Eco Friendly beads on most of my product line. Use recycle material to produce the beads. For example, my recycle glass beads and lampwork beads are made from broken glasses, plates, jars, bottles, windows, glass walls, TV, etc. They collect those unwanted pieces and re-process them into beads. All product is also individually made by hand (handmade).
This time collection made by Surabaya creative people.
Size : 12 mm x 13 mm
If you interest to these beads, please don't hesitate to send me an email =)
